Hey all, I had a question I was hoping some could shed some light on as to why my OS likes to crash randomly. Ive had this build for about 5 months now with no issues but about 2 weeks ago it just tandomly froze up, the mouse worked but nothing else and I couldnt get it to un freeze so I reset it and my SSD with my OS wasnt showing, that startled me a bit. I turned it off, gave it a few mins, turned it back on and all was fine.

Well today again it froze randomly, usually not while gaming just having a few tabs open surfing the web. The mouse and everything froze up this time and after a reboot the SSD shows fine and boots fine. Iam just wondering as to why it would randomly after 5 months it would start doing this.

Any info is much obliged and most the basic stuff has been covered like new drivers and stuff. :D

Another report of random restarting... http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/356591-pc-shutting-down-without-warning/#entry4840258

^Same story as you, few users in there with similar...

More and more everyday.. leading me to believe this is a software issue.. (W-Update?)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Totally! I run defender and malwayrebytes like every 2 days. All is clean.

Hmmm iam hoping so, I dont like to think its my rig.

Are you using Coretemp to monitor CPU temps..

Remove it until the next version if so... or find something similar thats not coretemp...

Many reports of resetting/freezing due to Coretemp...

I've now gotten rid of it, but too early to tell if it has changed anything...
