Help with learning/designing a website

hey linus community, i was wondering if any of you are good at building a website like this one PCCG. I need it to have categories down the side like PCCG and have products and information on the homepage.

 

I know a bit about building websites but not alot, some tips would be helpful

 

I have access to adobe dreamweaver

For a beginner I suggest using something like OpenCart (http://www.opencart.com/), pretty much gives you everything to create a site like that.

Are you building an eCommerce site as a project for yourself/school or will this actually be used by a real company that is selling products to customers?

If u want a commercial website, u never dealt with web programming and design, then it will be very hard.

First, read some books about php programming, html5, xslt, xpath, maybe about gwt framework...

Creating an online market is hard, because u have to make sure u don't have any vulnerabilities.
