Hellos there LTT! I've been planning my next build for a couple of days now and this is what I've gathered so far for gaming and some cat videos watching.

But I do have some concerns, for example I'm not sure if i should go for the 4690k or the 4790k since they perform so similar in games and since I'm a novice OCer i find it easier to OC from 4.0 to 4.5 instead of 3.5 to 4.5

I'm more worried about the quality of the parts than the price for example I've heard the Seagate HDDs have a higher change of failure

and is a 750w PSU good? PCpartpicker estimates a 506w usage should'nt i use a 650w instead?

Your advice is more than welcome

Abou the Seagate HDD's is correct and I'm speaking out of my personal experience. So I would go for a WD blue.

I would go for a 750w psu to have a bit of headroom.

my only recommendation would go with a 290x crossfire setup and save $100 while not losing performance

as for the seagate thing mine has been working for 8 years now..

750w leaves you some wiggle room for things like over clocking

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Very solid build, Though I'd suggest some changes. I'd change the Motherboard for starters. Using a budget motherboard for such a high budget, high performance system is not something I'd do. Something like the MSI Z97 MPOWER, MPOWER MAX AC, Z97X-UD5H(-BK), or Sabertooth.

that would consume about 1.5x what the 970 would, plus the pc will be a heater itself

CPU:  i7 5820k  @4.0Ghz Cooler: Thermaltake Nic C5 Motherboard: MSI X99A SLI PLUS  Ram: 8 gb @2133Mhz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 @1560  Case: Proprietary Sun Ultra 24  Storage: HyperX 120gb & 1 TB WD Green PSU: Cooler Master 550w

well, i heard other things about 290Xs from other people. Anyways, also think that a 290x 8gb would be more suitable for his needs
