Upgrade that 750ti to at least a 760 but I would try more for a 780 or maybe 970 or 980 if you can.

Upgrade that 750ti to at least a 760 but I would try more for a 780 or maybe 970 or 980 if you can.

It's not that X99 won't provide a good experience, it's just the 4790K isn't optimized for X99.

You still need to answer my question though. What is your currency and budget. Without this knowledge I have no idea what to put together for you.

1. that CPU won't work with an x99 motherboard, as a 4790k uses and LGA 1150 socket and all X99 boards have LGA 2011-3 sockets

2. If this is a gaming system please don't get the 750ti. It's only useful in extreme budget systems (console killers and such) A 970 or 980 would be much more well suited for a $1500 budget

3. what are you using this for? gaming, editing...

x99 and that i7 are completely incompatible BTW. Check the partslist that I linked

Alright, here is why you can't have the X99.

The X99 boards use a different socket for CPUs. The 4690K uses a LGA1150 socket, where as a X99 board uses LGA2011. Think of it as trying to fit a square in a circular hole.

The solution is a board that uses a LGA1150 socket (duh) the Z97 chipset is a good chipset for the 4790K.
