Will my new GTX960 run on my old Gigabyte Z68 Express Chipset Motherboard?

Hi guys, my question is simply this: do you guys think, the 4gb ASUS strix version of the GTX960 will be compatible with my current Gigabyte Intel Z68 Express Chipset Motherboard(intel). I'm just contemplating what to upgrade first, (ram, cpu, mboard) or gpu. I just want to play GTAV! The 960 is replacing a 570, and nothing else is changing for now, ram is staying the same at 8gb 1600mhz hyper x and cpu 2600k i7.

My psu is true power 600w which should be sufficient.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also: on a side, note, Can I reuse my water cooler? I have a antec Kuhler 620. I should be able to just scrape off the thermal paste right?

Thanks!

Yeah it should be fine.

The i7 2600k is still a solid CPU, you don't really need to replace it.
