Minecraft stuck on loading/ installing screen

Hi!

 

I must confess...my friend downloaded a minecraft launcher and we installed it but we got to the point where the launcher should start installing the game, a bar should apper etc. but it doesn't. 

Note: he has a pretty old pc and using win xp. And the launcher is fine, I've used it myself (not anymore)

try upgrading your video drivers / other launcher. if its cracked it could well be that cracker's server is down.

cracked launchers are a whole other pile of mess that i wont go into (partially due to forum CoC)

 

i just wanna mention that the mess you have now is worth the €20 to get a legit version, and get access to launchers that'll give you detailed information of what went wrong.
