Hacked or not?

Sorry I will try to hurry this as much as possible as I am paranoid as hell. So on steam some random dude added me, I figured he was from a game I've played, he added me yesterday, and nothing really felt odd. Today he sent me a message related to an item that he was interested in. I have been selling quite some stuff on the market so i figured it was something I had. I clicked his link (facepalm), only to see a download. I quit it faster than light, unplugged my net cord, started virus search. once back online i switched passwords. I am constantly looking at my stash, nothing's gone, for now.. If I had been scammed, would I have known already?

Also another guy sent me on my steam page "+1 thank you for buy", I have a hunch that was to paint me as a target? I didn't buy anything from him I think, and if i did, who says thanks like that?

Change your steam password anyway and run a few more virus scans. You're probably fine though.

So long as you changed it after the supposed infection, that's enough for the moment. Like I said, you should be fine. A bit of paranoia is healthy
