Hi everyone, after the success of my build, my parents want me to build them a PC. They gave me a budget of $600 (give or take $50) (USD) and they need a monitor (already have keyboard, mouse, etc.). On this PC they will be doing web browsing, work (excel, word) @ 1080p, so nothing that intensive with graphics, just need something to output with hdmi (it can be intel hd graphics)...

I live in the US

I have moderate building experience

I can analyze and solve any problems that arrive with the process.

Here is what I have so far:

Any suggestion, comment or criticism will be appreciated.

BTW I chose an SSD a primary way to store things because they aren't using programs that require much space (Top Three (Probably the Only 3): Chrome, Excel and Word)

Thanks :)

Looks good. Cheaper motherboard maybe? Don't need to spend that much.

How is that?

Is the i5 overkill? will the g3258 be enough?

Looks good, get a mechanical hard drive however. Cheaper mobo like ONO said.

I want pure SSD because I already have a 1 TB hard drive at home for them.

Get them a Cute little 750Ti

/s

I would suggest getting a NAS or Raid Setup

Too expensive, lol, they aren't playing games in the slightest...

as far as i am concerned you could type word on a calculator.

if you really want to upgrade the motherboard and cpu with the 100$ under I am (or take out cpu cooler would be $150)

and the cpu cooler I added for silence.

This is what I am settling on... I think that its fine for them and what they are doing essentially. They don't want 50000+ mods on skyrim @ 4k or anything, I think this suits them... It does the job and it keeps them off my computer lol xD

id change the psu to a seasonic 430/450w

also keep in mind the motehrboard needs a bios update to take the cpu..so you will need an older cpu to update the bios first..

and I think you can afford it..you should give them atleast an i3...something like a i3 4130..then you wouldn't need the update for the bios

should atleast give them a 24 inch monitor to..with good brightness

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile
