I guess I didn't realize how horrible this PSU is. I realize I made a mistake purchasing it, but is it just that it's mediocre compared to other PSU's for the same price or is a disaster waiting to happen? I don't want to harm my entire PC with this...

Again for anyone that are going to misunderstand no the NEX models are not going to blow up nor are they super crappy like some of the stuff from HEC, the word here is very mediocre nothing more

While it certainly isn't a great PSU in comparison to other units, the NEX750G isn't terrible and will be fine for your setup.
