start-up loop

The business I work for is getting new pos systems and as they convert from old to new, there is a problem with the old pos. 

 

Everything turns on fine but after 15/30 mins,  the  computer would lose power and restart, AND then gets trapped in this startup loop.

 

OS is windows 98 SP2 

 

The business only need this computer on for 1 wk to transfer data from one computer to another.

Nope duct clear and no overheating. It might be a cmos setting thing which i dont know what to do.

there could be a clear cmos jumper on the motherboard. Or a clear switch. You could try that
