if you can get your chip that high, id like to guess that the 240X can handle it, its one of the top of the line AIO's :P

Depends on voltage. My H105 can handle 1.5v on my FX-8320 but with two Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 2000 at full tilt.

Anyone know if the Swiftech H240-X can handle the 9590 at 5.3GHZ without stability crashes? Thanks.

Depends if it overclocks well and the 9590 is shit, for the same amount of money you can get a 2600k and a board

PEWDIEPIE DONT CROSS THAT BRIDGE

Probably, depends on your motherboard and chip though. Your motherboard will have to deliver enough power(since the 9590 eats power) and the CPU is technically already overclocked, so squeezing out more might be difficult.

Myboard is the Crosshair V Formula-Z

As for it being shit...not really and that's coming from someone who owns a 4770K, 3770K, and 3520M.

My 9590 destroys my 3770K at multiple Virtual machines. While I haven't overclocked the 3770K cause I'm waiting til I get my P8P67 WS Revolution, I really don't think it will make a difference. The single threaded conversions I do on the 9590's VM's render way faster than on the I7. Of couse my 4770K blows both away at everything but it's my gaming rig and is also much newer that the FX technology.

Please stop hating on the 9590 until you actually try it. It destroys anything at it's price range in certain tasks. While it may be limited tasks, it's still ones that are essential to me.

Also on if my CPU can reach 5.3, I'm confident it can as long as my cooler can handle it. I think I got very lucky on my 9590. My H240-X hasn't came in yet but I'm using my H100 til it does. My temps have been pretty good. Under my Desktop and 6 VM's, the temp generally stays around 50-55C depending on the workload.
