Wierd ram propblems

so i have 8 gb of gskill ripjaw x ram and i have the problem that my ram slowly fils up until about 7,5 of the 8 gb is in use and it only goes down if i reboot my pc.

I need to know if it is a software issue (reinstall my pc) or if it is hardware related (replace ram/motherboard)

Here are all my specs:

Os:Windows 7 enterprice 64 bit
Cpu:intel core i5 4690k

Ram:8 gb dual channel 799mz gskill ripjaw x

motherboard: gigabyte z97-hd3

Videocard: assus gtx 770

Thanks for the help

Is there something specific going on in the background when this happens? Pretty sure it's Software related imo

Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P CPU: AMD FX 8350 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 8gb (2x4gb@1600Mhz) GPU: Gigabyte R9 280x (factory oc) PSU: Thermaltake SmartSE 730w Case: Corsair 200R

Open task manager and sort by memory usage.

You should be able to see if there's anything sucking up all your ram.

That's not supposed to do that....

No way this is hardware problem. Check that your pagefile is correctly set. It should be min 4gigs.
