When I installed windows I kept the usb stick I used to install it. If my friend buy only a key (same version evidently), can I use my copy that I have on my usb to install it or will it not recognize the number key? It's a new build, do I have to plug in the ethernet cable? Will it work if the ethernet driver are not yet installed? It is to note that it is the french version, I live in Canada, Québec

EDIT : I obtained my copy on dreamspark for free if this makes a difference

Even with "GLOBAL" version on g2a? It pretty much the cheapest place to buy it I think.
