H60 vs Hyper 212 evo

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

The Hyper 212 EVO performs better.  H60 is for cosmetics only.

You shouldn't get the h60 for its performance but its looks. The price to performance ratio is not good.

Go for a Hyper 212 Evo. It has great performance for its price.

I found it on sale $30 off so that's why I am wondering, Also I forgot but would it be just as good to use aftermarket fans on the 212 evo because the whole issue is the noise of stock AMD heat sink, I likely will not overclock

If you can get a H60 for $30, it's a steal. Go right ahead for it.

As for noise, both should be very quiet.

With the H60, you run the risk of pump noise problems. The Hyper 212 Evo has large fans and you can slow them down to make it very quiet.

Sorry but it was $30 off it is still twice the price of the 212 evo with the H60 at 60 and the 212 evo at just less than $30

Oh, get the Evo. The H60 is not worth the money if you just want silence.
