So I've been planning a build for a while, definitely going for as much silence at idle as possible with the ability to ramp things up for heavy workloads. Also shooting for a black and white theme, although I think it's a lot of black so far.

CPU: *Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  ($349.00 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 280L 122.5 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($100.98 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: *Asus X99-DELUXE ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  ($357.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: *Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB STRIX Video Card  ($544.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $2488.88

One concern I have is fans, I think I should go with 140mm fans, but again low power silence is key, I just don't know good ones to pick. I'm planning to have 2 in the front, 1 on the bottom, and 1 in the back in addition to the top mounted AIO radiator. Not sure if I should swap out the case fans, or if they'd be good, because they advertise it as a silent case to begin with.

I plan to run the SSDs in RAID 0, kind of just because I can. The RAM choice is pretty random, I've been looking for some nice white RAM, this is just what I found. I do want 32GB, even though 16 is probably more than I'd need, I'd like the extra memory.

The PSU is also a bit arbitrary, I picked it because it's enough wattage and has the fan off at low loads, but I was really hoping for a white one. Corsair ones also look great (but are also all black), but I could feasibly do a repaint like in the Phase Change video. I've also been looking at cablemod cables, they have black/white ones that look great, but at more than $100 dollars I'm not to sure it's worth it. Any advice would be appreciated. The theme would be great, but it isn't super critical, and is just an attempt to make a pretty build.

What do you mean by 'heavy workloads'? What's the system being used for?

That motherboard isn't worth it imo, so I just put in some black MSI motherboard which is great.

The block on the CPU cooler looked really bad, so I just put in a reliable H100I with the white corsair logo.

I kinda like the cooler block, even though it is a bit thick.

The fans do look great, though I would probably go for the 140mm versions for the extra airflow.

Also is the performance of the superclocked gpu worth the extra noise? I really want the silence of the strix fans being off at low loads, so would the extra boost be worth it?

I do some software development, so heavy compiling workloads, as well as sometimes multiple virtual machines.

I also enjoy gaming, so the 980 is there for that and CUDA computation.

Could be cheaper: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fQdrf7

Remove stock heatsink and case fans. Silent12's on the heatink and rear exhaust, Silent14's for front intake, NF-S12B for top exhaust.

The XLR8 Pro is a decent alternative if you want to for the black/white aesthetic: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/pny-video-card-vcggtx9804xpbxpoc

Sorry I'm new to the forums :P

The XLR8 Pro looks pretty great, it comes down to a decision between super silent or good looking, and I just don't know yet haha.

The RAM and motherboard picks look great, they really fit the color theme.

I'm pretty sold on the Fractal case and AIO watercooling so I don't know if I'd make those changes though.

Thanks for the help.
