So, I was recently recommended a fan controller. I can definitely see why now. I want the least noise possible especially when my PC is running on standby or I'm just watching videos. I only want my fans running full blast if I'm heavily gaming. (And I will be with a Titan x) I'm going to be using a c70 vengeance case by Corsair.

Fan configuration is as follows:

Intakes: 2x front 120 mm Noctua NF-f12 fans and 1x bottom 140 mm Noctua NF-A15 fan.

Outtakes: 1x 140mm top mounted Noctua NF-A15 fan and one back mounted 120mm Noctua NF-F12 fan.

After reviewing information, what fan controller do you think I should get? If it comes with temperature gauges where should I mount those wires at? Keep in mind this is my first PC build and I do admit that I like the aesthetics of a touch screen fan controller. However, I do want one that performs well. Thanks for reading!

If your fans will plug into your motherboard directly, you've got an automatic fan controller controlled by the BIOS that will automatically adjust speed as is needed. The way I see it, fan controllers in general are obsolete

It's sort of for aesthetics like I said. Plus I'm a fan (pun intended ;D) of the idea of controlling my fans manually with a touchpad as opposed to using software.

Oh okay good luck finding one then :) I don't really know anything useful about fan controllers. Sorry I couldn't help

Oh it's no problem at all. I was looking at the Aerocool brand and their 2100 seems like a pretty good choice. Might opt for that. Thanks for replying to two of my posts by the way bud. ^_^ I know dealing with noobs can be a chore but we were all noobs at one point eh?

That one seems good. But it seems like the viewing angles are crap, and the ability to change the display's color is not there unlike the Aerocool 2100 which may take up two drive bays, but has great viewing angles and is actually less convoluted in comparison to the Sentry 3. From what I've seen, the setup is pretty hooting easy and the fact the display is larger makes the Aerocool quite a contender because that means more fans are visible without having to toggle between them. I could even hook up my five fans on every port, controlling them one by one on each toggle because I will have only five fans. What makes the Sentry 3 good in your opinion?
