I ran aida64 stability test overnight and upon waking up it was still running without any problems. Temps maxed out at 80c on a closed loop 240mm aio cooler, cpu is i5 4690k 4.6Ghz 1.3V

However i did notice that the cpu was throttling once in a while to 800mhz for a few seconds then went back up to 4.6Ghz, idk why it did this, thermal throttling is out of the question as the temps maxed out at 80c

I also notice this when playing crysis 3 in the welcome to the jungle campaign. The fps drops to a mere 5 fps (temps also drop to 40c) for around 5 seconds then goes normal again.

Does any of you ever experience this? Is this Intel speed steep at worj?

My windows power plan is set to performance. C states are left on auto. Voltage is set to override.

I've asked this before but nobody answered it

Probably because you aren't quoting or "@"ing the person.

I'm not sure because I don't own a Gigabyte BIOS and I am not familiar with it.  When you set it to auto, does it give you the option to also set the voltage you want?  Or does it just grey everything out?  Hopefully someone who owns a Gigabyte mobo can help you out better than I can.
