So I have 2x2GB and 1333MHz and 2x4GB 1600MHz and the 1333MHz seems to make my GTA building fail to load in fast enough a lot of the time yet I set the ram frequency to 1333MHz but only the 2x4GB goes to 1600MHz, halp?

xmp?

The 2x2GB doesn't support it, is that the problem?

Since your running 1333MHz ram all the RAM in your system runs at that speed. Also are you using onboard graphics or a graphics card?

No I am talking about overclocking the ram and only the 2x4GB is overclocking.. Is this because the 2x2GB doesn't support XMP?

Im only asking if your running discrete graphics because only integrated graphics uses system memory. While at speeds that low your memory may still bottleneck your gpu performance though even if your using a graphics card. Is your ram rated for 1600MHz? If not then I wouldnt recommend trying to overclock it if you can.

You aren't answering what I need an answer to.

I'm just trying to help. I suggest getting a 4x4 kit if you want to upgrade. That way you know all of the memory modules will work together at their rated speed. I never recommend overclocking ram because it is never very stable. please make sure the ram you get is both xmp ready and compatable with your motherboard.

I had it lying around, I don't need 12GB of ram..

I would ditch the 1333MHz kit then, most people only need 8GB anyway....... I say this yet I have 32GB......... hippo i am

It's only bad on GTA V so it's more R*'s fault if anythingt.

I'll wait for some updates then throw it back in :P
