Installing fans?

Straight

I'm trying to install my front case fans with the screws provided with the fans, but whenever I try to screw them in, it just feels really stiff and rigid - is this usual? I don't want to sort of force it with the screwdriver in case I mess something up.

Case is NZXT S340 if that helps.

Hard mounts (Metal screws) usually go into the plastic and make the thread so they can require force, just bu sure the screw is going where it should and it should be fine

Screw harder--fan screws are self-tapping.

They're self-tapping screws. I chose not to use those screws in my S340 build but instead used rubber pull screws.
