Chrome Scrolling

Go to solution Solved by Bleedman0xx,

Disabling it fixes the issue but the page takes longer to load or rather "stabilize" before I can start scrolling smoothly. Is it a compromise or is there something else I can try?

They changed the way a page renders since like version 25. I personally don't mind the checkerboard background.

But you could try with messing around with the settings in "chrome://flags/" (Lots of browser goodies in this page)

Since this morning for some reason chrome will not scroll cleanly for me.

Its never happened to me before. When I scroll too fast the page doesn't load fast enough for me and I get the "no background" checkerboard mesh and a quarter of a second later the actual webpage loads over it.

Important to note is that I scroll fast enough to get tearing on my screen but the loading issue has never happened to me before.

Does anyone else have this issue (or maybe its normal) or is it just me?

Try disabling/enabling Hardware Acceleration in the browser's settings.

  • GPU compositing on all pages = Enabled
  • Accelerated overflow scroll = Enabled
  • Enable experimental canvas features = Enabled

Fixed.

Thanks!

Btw, chrome even has a Vsync option in the page of settings i posted. :3

I've been playing CS:S for years at 300fps. I prefer 300fps and tearing to 60fps. Much smoother to me.  :)
