Help choosing a new GPU

hello, i wanted to get a new graphics card for my PC, but im having troubles choosing. Anyone know a good one i should get? I want it to run games like dayZ, DarkSouls2, and elderscrolls Online on max settings. I'm also planning to paint the Graphics card gold for my black and gold build.

I was thinking to buy a nvidia geforce 970 gtx 4gb gddr5 but i think you guys have a better idea. Please help and thanks for reading.

The 970 would work great for your needs and it isn't overpriced.

Gtx 970 is a great choise. But tell us your budget. Btw i think dayz like cpu more then gpu.

Make sure you have a good CPU first. MMO games like DayZ and ESO are very CPU heavy. 

If you have something like a i5 CPU then the 970 is a good GPU to pair with or you can go with a r9 290x if its cheaper.

Nice. Then go for gtx 970. Great card for great price.

Depending on your budget, I'd say it might be a good idea to spend a little bit more and get an R9 290X 8GB. Having the extra VRAM is going to be a huge benefit in the new couple of years. Aside from that the GTX 970 is a great card.
