soundbar audio issues

ok so i recently bought a sound bar and every now and then the audio drops out for about half a second. i dont know why it does this, its connected to my pc via digital cable thingo

 

will changing the audio format to 24 bit from 16 bit fix it

i changed it to 24 bit hasnt happened yet but ill give it time
