Hybrid Drive Algorithms + Software based encryption

Hybrid drives base their caching on most frequently accessed files or blocks (based on manufacture design) on the drive.  Over a short time, this ends up being windows files (if the drive is an OS drive), or whatever data you access most frequently.  Also, I don't believe the drive caching cares if the data is encrypted, it simply looks for which files are accessed most, it doesn't need to be able to understand the data it is reading.  If you are talking about whole disk encryption, that might be different, but otherwise it shouldn't matter.
