Hi, so i'm looking for some advice and perhaps solve this problem of mine.

Right, so about 6/26/2012 or so my brother got his computer parts to build a new rig.

His friend and i put it together.

Building it, we had no problems, everything worked and posted.

The build was done and over, we did however run into a system lockup/games not working/desktop freeze, but that was gone after updating the bios to the latest at the time.

Recently, when we last spoke he told about his computer blue screening a bunch.

I said, how come?

Have you been cleaning out your computer, do you happen to have a picture of the bluescreen or know the code.

He then tells me, no i've been meaning to do that, yes i do have a picture and yes the code has been the same and not changed.

He shows me the picture, asked my opinion on what it could mean and i told him seems like your cpu is damaged or over heating.

He sent me a screen shot of what it looked like.

Is it possible this is what happened to his cpu?, if not i'd like to hear what you all think.

Many thanks friend and if you need more info, i'll try my best to get it.

something had to have changed, whether it been hardware or software or settings.

back track everything they have done for the last week, also look at windows automatic update history and anti virus auto updates etc that can have an effect.

have they tried system restore? to a time it last worked?

do they have anti virus software? do a full system scan.

make sure they keep away from dodgy emails / attachments / crappy websites and all that.

got to love Asus components
