My old 1155 mobo died already with a i5 2nd gen,so whats better to do, Buy a new high end mobo with dual core(just for awhile until i save for i7) or just get a 1155 so i can get my rig working again.

If not, then 1150, because 1155 is about to get off soon.

i5 2400, got all the things to set up my new rig, just saving up for a maximus hero 7 and i7 4790k, but a week ago my rig shut down for no reason, so i had to decide which one to get, high end 1150 mobo and a dualcore or a cheap 1155 just to get it working for the meantime. i plan to buy hero 7 and i7 at the same time so i can test it around if one is broken.

well its more powerful than a g3258 even overclocked

g3258 is maybe 340 overclocked to hell wheras your chip should manage 500+

the haswell dual core might have a 10% better ipc but overall has allot less performance.

kinda like getting rid of a 3930k for a 4790k..

1155 you Can get a cheap 1155 mobo secondhand and put your i5 in it

derp post quoted myself when i meant to edit.
you effectively have an i5 4590 but with 90% of the ipc. so get a board, the only people who said 1150 either had a 1150 socket or were getting one soon.
ive got a g3258 and other than a bit of (actually boring) fun its nothing amazing other than it being 1/2 of a 4690k for 1/3rd the price.

Just do this ^ ^ ^ ^  $60 more, but you guarantee a fun overclocking chip + when you get your i7 you will have that as well.
