Basically you have the potential to get better performance with this enabled. Truth is, it is a setting that is there so the board can meet certain specifications. If you turn this off it will narrow the bandwidth down a little which actually causes a more precise signal.
I personally don't touch it, but several places suggest disabling it. It cant hurt anything by having it on.
If you're in a cluttered environment with tons of electronic equipment you might want to leave this on. It is VERY useful in places like automobiles, planes, server rooms, questionable electrical situations, as it will keep things more "normal" when you might get spikes in electronic activity.
