CPU/PCIE Spread Spectrum

Basically you have the potential to get better performance with this enabled. Truth is, it is a setting that is there so the board can meet certain specifications. If you turn this off it will narrow the bandwidth down a little which actually causes a more precise signal.

I personally don't touch it, but several places suggest disabling it. It cant hurt anything by having it on.

If you're in a cluttered environment with tons of electronic equipment you might want to leave this on. It is VERY useful in places like automobiles, planes, server rooms, questionable electrical situations, as it will keep things more "normal" when you might get spikes in electronic activity.

Hello!

I noticed an option on my mobo, it is -

CPU Spread Spectrum

PCIE Spread Spectrum

Now what exactly are these options. A quick google search says that disabling em would increase stability. But people say something about EMT and stuff. So if I disable both PCIE and CPU, will it decrease the longevity of my components or what.

NOTE: I am looking into options because I am at 5.0 ghz right now...

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
