So i've had this problem for a while now, but since it only hinders my expierience a bit, i haven't properly dealt with it, so here's what happens:

When i start my PC, it boots into windows just fine, but around 30 seconds to a minute after landing on the desktop, my PC bluescreens(It's not an actual bluescreen, sometimes it turns white, yellow, red, basically a diffirent color every time)

So whenever this happens, i just press the reset button, windows boots and sometimes it happens a second time, but usally it's fine and doesn't crash, until i restart it again.

This has been happening for almost 2 years now, so i've upgraded a few parts over that time, so here's a list of parts i have either replaced or have tested.

-CPU(upgraded from i5-4430 to i7-4790K)

-Motherboard(upgraded from Z87-K to Maximus VII ranger)

-GPU(tested in a diffirent PC and stress tested)

-RAM(left every stick out apart from 1)

-I also know that it's nothing sotware related, already tried formatting my C drive and unplugging every other drive i have

So now i'm completely lost on what it could possibly be.

Here are my full PC specs:

CPU: i7-4790K

GPU: Asus GTX760

Mobo: Asus maximus VII ranger

RAM: 2 kits of 2x4 corsair vengeance LP

Storage: -Samsung 840 series 120GB SSD

               -WD caviar green 500GB

               -WD caviar green 2TB

PSU: Corsair CX500M

CPU Cooler: Gelid solutions tranquillo Rev.2

Case: Corsair Carbide 200R

2 1080p displays(this isue also occured with just 1 1080p display)

Lastly, i would like to point out that this issue is very unpredictable: sometimes it happens 5 times in a row, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all, thanks for reeading throught his post and helping me out, it truly means alot.

the wall socket could be old and need replacing...could be causing weird power issues

could also be that you have to many things on 1 circuit

even if it doesn't fix it...you should have a power bar to prevent damage to the pc incase you ever got a shock to the system

I would also try a new psu..see if that fixes the prob

We moved in tis house i live in almost 2 months ago, it's brand new.

One more question, would plugging my PC into one of those things that tells you how much power you are pulling help test if it's my PSU? for example if it says it's pulling more than 500 watts then it's my PSU? (also please forgive me for my lack of grammar)
