So, why does at&t feel the need to send me my content in a square?

hd is selected in 16:9

the only time i get 16:9 is if i rent a movie from thier demand section in hd.

i feel as if they do this just to be asses....., i mean it is more work for them to crop it into a squre and send it........

 i may need to restore to other resources at this rate..2015 4:3 tv is not a thing.

any fix?,
