Go to solution Solved by Imakuni,

I will be using this for 4k gaming and video editing.

Memory will be quad-channel at 14-14-14-32-2N

Hard Drive model number: WD2003FZEX

I live in the US

Case will be the NZXT H440

Huh. Well, I suggest that you completely change that. Here's my build. You can add a CPU cooler later, it's not a necessity by any means. When you do, I suggest you go for the Raijintek Triton, as the red water will go perfectly with the build.

Shjty. I could have done a MUCH better World Community Grid machine than this. I bet I could do literally 10x better with the same money....

...sarcasm aside, give us a goal for the build, as well your budget and location, so we can ACTUALLY evaluate your build.

Cpu: 5820k

Cooler: Swiftech H220x

Motherboard: Asus X99 Pro

Memory: Gskill 16GB 2400mHz

Storage: 256 GB 850 Pro, 2 TB WD Black

Gpu: Dual Gtx 980

Power Supply: Hx 1000i

Monitor: Asus PB287Q

What will it be used for?

How many modules in memory kit? What sub-timings?

Why an 850 Pro instead of the 850 EVO?

What model number WD Black?

Why such an oversize psu?

Case?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

There would be no noticeable performance difference between the 850 Pro ssd and Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive.

EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply is a better sized and arguably better psu.

Unless you need WiFi or Bluetooth, consider getting the Asus X99-A motherboard.

A case would be a good idea. If the case allows, consider getting a NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler instead of the H220-X.

Yup, I saw that review. It pretty much assured me that I could recommend the PSU without it blowing up the system.
