Just had a pretty enormous wallet accident. Since I've gone all out, I wanted to ask the community if there is anything I can do to improve the build. I also have not bought a case yet. If someone can Find one that will fit all the following parts. Another thing, I need a cooling system. I'm open to any suggestion Liquid cooling or not.

For the record, I'm a games developer working with Unreal Engine. I KNOW this is massively Overkill in every possible way, and probably not even worth wile having these parts. Just go with my insanity.

Motherboard : ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS

Ram : Kingston 64 GB 8x8 Memory (ECC)  - FB-DIMM 240-pin - 667 MHz

CPUs: Xeon E7-4890v2 2.80 GHz --- (x2)

GPUs: 4x EVGA Titan X

SSD: HP 2410GB MLC G2 PCIe IO

HDD: WD Black 4 TB

PSU: EVGA SuperNova P2 1600W 80+ Platinum

Improve it! (Need case and coolers/ after market fans)

Send it of to Linus and his team and let them build it?  :P *wishes*

SECONDLY.

I need some form of onsite Data Centre. Our project currently involves the combined effort of 22 workers. We need a way of transferring data to and from eachother on-site. Looking for the fastest and the best, nothing less. Any input as of methods would be greatly appreciated. Budget: >£100,000 (I know, excessive)

UPDATE, Mistake on the DDR2 Ram. Thanks for pointing it out. As it turns out, there are two different versions of the  ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS X99 and X79 board chipset. Going with the X99 model.  So as for the Ram, looks like im going with Crucial 64 gb Kit DDR4:   http://www.dabs.com/products/crucial-64gb-kit--4x16gb--ddr4-2133-mt-s--pc4-2133--cl15-dr-x4-ecc-registered-dimm-288pin-9QPX.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc%20product%20search&utm_campaign=Components%20and%20Storage%20-%20Memory%20-%20Generic%20Memory

For the second thing:

- Rent some servers in a datacenter

- A 45Drives Storinator with 60 drives and 10 gbps internet connections (maybe even teaming them)

Edit: :o

45Drives likes my answer. That's the second time they like me.

First time on Twitter in a reply to Linus.

And now here.

@45Drives: You guys stalking me?! :P

That time I saved Linus' WiFi pass from appearing on YouTube:

What is the point of overkill if you cant even use it?

You are going overkill in the wrong places

Hmm, Storinator, I like it. A little new to networking in that sense. Perhaps it would be better to hire someone to create the best. Thanks for your input.

That's exactly why I'm asking for the community input, to pick up on my mistakes. If you believe I should replace a part with another, go ahead and suggest it. Instead of calling pointless remarks.

Use DDR3 for a mobo that supports DDR3

Get an X99 mobo so you can use DDR4. And lose half that ram, you arent running a server or anything. That extra Ram will sit there doing nothing the whole time

Lose the HDD and go full SSD.

OP quoted x99. That ZP board is ASUS's x99 2P board.

Edit: My apologies. OP quoted the x79 board. my bad.

Do you really need 2 threads in General for the same topic?

Also for a high end build you're using DDR2 FB-DIMMs on a system that only supports DDR3...

A bit of a mistake, looks like Ill be going with this instead.   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291343402240?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108  Any thoughts.

As for cooling. Those xeon chips can run very hot under max load (think those are the 145W versions) So you're either stuck with massive heat sinks or liquid cooling.

With the space limitations of that much hardware in that space. This is one of the few times I'd suggest a custom liquid cooling rig is almost necessary. While the latest titans run cooler than their counterparts, They'll still start to choke in close configuration when under heavy load.

Thanks, to be completely honest. A little new to building PCs. Its going to be more of an experience.  I appreciate any input on what I should do. Thanks!

You need quad channel memory and since you're using both processors you'll need 8 sticks of RAM for your system either 8x16 for 128 or 8x8 for 64GB.

Don't get Dual Channel memory

Okay did some research because I was getting confused. There is an x99 version of the ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS motherboard. Just make sure which one your getting, and that the CPU is compatible. Also if the x79 board. DDR3 is necessary. If it's the x99 platform you'll need DDR4 ram.

X99 version and go with DDR4? Sounds best.
