I have a Corsair Carbide 500r case. I did some cleaning recently and only managed to get the simple surface area and areas that can be blown out using can-of-air.

However, the grill areas of the case, the dirt from the holes are hard to remove.

I've attached an image given an idea of the dirty problem I'm facing.

I'd like to hear from the community how you guys managed to clean the nooks-and-crannys in your case making it shine like new again.

PS. Is it safe to rince my Corsair H100 under the water tap and not have to worry about it being damaged, and how do you dry out the fins if cleansed that way?

Ask a mom lol. It's what I did for my mouse pad and it ended up like new. I'd suggest removing the water sensitive parts and dumping it in water with some cleaning chemical for a few mins to get all the disgust-y stuff out. Or use a sort of brush to get in the holes. Good Luck!  ;)

I use a vaccume cleaner attachment that looks like the head of a tooth brush. It has soft bristles all around the ebges works wonders. Looks like this

get a nylon paint brush(the one people use for drawing) and brush along and into each corner of the case, including the fan filter. get different head sizes if you must. that how i clean my filters and heatsinks when i dont want to blow dust inside my room.

toothbrush and vacuum (especially for those small areas and stubborn dust blobs).  Vacuum brush attachments are sometimes too big and rough.

For small places, I use the toothbrush and blow with canned air or vacuum (cleaning fans and grills, and boards).

I also use a thin white cotton glove (that came with my transparent case a while back, but I think you can buy them cheap) to just wipe over hard to reach surfaces, like fans and hd cages.  Its more useful compared to a rag that's too big for many places (I also try to keep my other hand grounded to case).

Thanks for the response thus far guys.  I don't have access to a vacuum nor its brush parts so I'll try the toothbrush and paint brush method suggested this weekend.  When I've done that I'll probably post some before and after shots.  Thanks again.
