Need help on my frist watercooling project

Go to solution Solved by Ghost,

That's a strange choice of reservoir but the rest of the components seem fine.

Laing pumps have a really long mtbf so you have nothing to worry about buying them second hand.

In fact if you wanted to you could buy the stuff and sell it for more than you bought it for on eBay.

Why? I've always used MasterKleer and never had issues. :o

Can't say my experience has been the same...

Are you still talking about the one time that plasticer came out of the tubing when you used one of the Mayhems coolants?

One time? No.

Well as OP is using distilled water it isn't a problem. It's only a problem with Mayhems coolants compatibility with the tubing.

You are the only person on this forum to ever complain about it. I thought I should add that. Maybe you were just unlucky?

Well I'm sure many people on this forum have used it without issues. Which means its fine, maybe you just got a bad batch.

I guess you've never seen the RealRedRaider thread? Mick from Mayhems doesn't take any responsibility for it, constantly blaming it on anything he can find. It's easy to tell he's trying to hide the company's issues.

You showed me it a while back. I totally agree that with Mayhems you cannot expect any sort of support from them. But that doesn't mean their products are un-usable.

It won't get better than that, I'm slightly worried you took the nickel plating off the block. (Not that it will make a difference in performance)

You can try to use an old toothbrush to get those discoloured bits out.

That's okay. You wouldn't have a warranty with it anyway. May have decreased the life expectancy though. Wouldn't worry about it though.
