24/7 server cost?

So I am planning on building some type of server for both personal "cloud" storage and to run programs like Vent and any other thing to be hosted. With a standard 80+ Bronze PSU, how much would this cost about to run a month?

if dual xeons quad GPU monster ~$20 at 7c/kwh

If you go with an atom build or a low voltage intel cpu it should not be too expensive, try some bitcoin online calculators to get proper $/w numbers!

Generally you can get an idea like this: Wattage (in Kwh) x 24 x 30 x Price per kWh= Monthly Cost

 

My home server uses around 70W an hour, 0.07x24x30x$0.08 = $ 4  Yes electricity here is cheap.

That sounds about right, about 5-10 dollars to run it. Just a cheap i5 with an HDD and no GPUs.
