Setting speakers as default playback device?

Go to solution Solved by lubblig,

I'm not sure this is the solution for you, but if, what you did, was to disable some playback devices. Then this is how you enable them again.

Open the playback devices program by right clicking the sound icon in the taskbar.

The screen you should see is the following:

Then right click anywhere within the program to see the following options and choose do show disabled devices.

This will show any devices that you may have disabled and this will allow you to enable these devices.

By right clicking on a disabled device, you will hopefully be able to enable it again.

If you want to make sure that your devices are plugged in correctly, choose show disconnected devices. This will show all (hopefully) devices that has been connected but no longer is. (Do this if you aren't seeing all the devices you were expecting after doing the above steps. If you see the device(s) after doing this step, you probably have not plugged the device(s) in correctly.)

But again, I'm not sure this is what will solve your problem. I couldn't entirely understand what you where asking for but this might help you or someone else.

Don't forget to set the device you want as default, as default when you have all your devices enabled.

EDIT: Added spoiler to not take up so much room in the thread.

Hey everyone, so yesterday I was having some interference issues and couldn't figure out what they were, so I removed some playback devices in the bit you get to when you right click on the volume control at the bottom right and go to playback devices (W 8.1)

How do I fix this? I have them plugged in as usual now and can only get sound through USB headphones haha.
