I managed to fry my current i-Rocks Wireless Mouse/Keyboard receiver.  So I was wondering if buying a Logitech unifying receiver was an option. I know the i-rocks receiver is 2.4Ghz and I believe the Logitech one is too. Thanks in advance for your help

Since i don't know anything about that company i would suggest that you send them an e-mail and ask them yourself :)

It could work but i won't guarantee anything!

After reading the manual it seems that all you have to do is just press a mouse button to start the "ID".
