pc to router ethernet.

I connected my new build directly too the router but it's not detecting my network, any tips? Is it because I'm not using a crossover cable, someone told me that was the issue but idk, thanks.

You can try to get them from the CD that came with your components. once you have downloaded the proper ones, just delete the ones you installed from the CD.

i had a usb ethernet dongle handy so that always helps was one in the back of my tv box thing, now my father is mad cuz i stole it XDDDDDDD he cant watch video on demand now :PP i've got no ethernet in my room

 To connect to a network that is not broadcasting, follow these steps:

1. 
   

   Open Connect to a Network by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Connect to.

   
   
   
2. 
   

   Click Set up a connection or network.

   
   
   
3. 
   

   Click Manually connect to a wireless network, and then type the network information.

   
   

   The network will be added to your list of networks and will be available to connect to in the future when your computer is in range of the network.
