I'm building a PC for my uncle which needs to be capable of browsing the internet at blazing fast speeds, never locks up, and may be doing some LIGHT (and I stress LIGHT) video editing. I'm at a loss, as I'm more of a "raging pc gamer parts" kind of guy. I want him to have a video card, but he's a real estate guy. The budget is about $850, anyone got any mobo, processor, and video card suggestions? It's greatly appreciated! I'll post the parts I'm currently looking at soon.

Are you sure about the pentium G? Not even an i3 or i5? Like I said, pretty clueless from an office standpoint, I just know I've seen i7 cpu stickers in offices

There are soooo many option for cpu but i pick the pentium since it's an office build that i3 or i5 won't give you much more performance if all you do is office work. Other option to get is a 4130 that's the max i would get on a non gaming build.

If you get that then might as well get the instead 4460 it's $30 more. But then it's overkill

there. Disregard the cost of the monitor and windows, he said $850 discounting that stuff. Here is what I may go with, considering he wants to use it way down the road, and will be learning to edit video.

A Xeon 4-core/8-hyperthread cpu to improve browsing and video editing performance. Eight GB of memory should be more than sufficient unless large video editing projects are contemplated. A 500GB ssd. Should be enough an office machine, even one that does light editing. Will make a big difference in system performance. A GTX 750 Ti. Not really needed except for light video editing. Although this model Xeon does require a gpu. High quality psu and good office keyboard and mouse.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

you could also go for a APU rig?

for sure a m-atx or m-itx form factor and nice looking small case.

you need speed of the hard drive so a good SSD or a SSHD is a must.

if you went for like an AMD Kaveri 7850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113359and....

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132055R

^^^ good for office and you can get a lot of memory for the future in it.

might be a good office build.if you want quality and like to be different.

got to love Asus components
