Windows 8.1 Error Messages

So I'm using windows 8.1 and whenever i put my computer to sleep and resume it later, it comes up with some type of error message. I get the blue screen and it says "You're PC ran into an error and needs to restart".  SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION(ks.sys). The same thing happened to me before but i got a different error saying MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. I looked up how to fix the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT one and it seems like its fixed. But now I get this other error  SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION(ks.sys). Please help.

Check that your HDD or SSD is set up in AHCI. Otherwise, it sounds to me like you might have a bad RAM stick? Try other ones, swap them around, etc.

How do I check if my HDD is set up in AHCI? I built my PC only a year ago with Corsair Vengence Pro 16GB ram. I do not think it is a RAM problem.
