So i've been playing Arma 3 and have been struggling with fps. i was hoping someone could help me with overclocking my pc, in order to make the most of it.

System Specs:

Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3-Motherboard

AMD Radeon R9 280X 3gb GDDR5-Graphic Card

AMD FX 8350 4.0Ghz Eight Core-CPU Model

8GB DDR3 1600mhz Performance Ram-Memory

1tb Seagate Barracuda Sata 6Gb/s 64mb Cache 7200rpm-Hard Drive

Corsair CX600 80 Plus Bronze Certified 600w Power Supply-PSU Size

 

My PC has 'overclocking potential'

Don't bother...

 

Arma3  + AMD FX 8350  + Radeon R9 280X  = Stay away from that game.  :ph34r:

First off this is the second new thread you made about this within 5 minutes of each other >.>

 

Second you should watch some videos explaining how to overclock properly, you were already given a reply with a video linked in it in your other thread

 

Third that motherboard won't be great for overclocking and I see no aftermarket cooler listed, and the stock heat-sink is nowhere near good enough for overclocking, so I would not recommend it if that is the case.

 

Fourth you probably won't see much of an improvement in your game performance unless you do a pretty large overclock, which would need at least an AIO water cooler and even then I would only think maybe 10 fps increase or so.

 

Sorry if this came off as a bit rude, I got annoyed that you posted the same thing twice (wasn't even a double post they have different content) >.>
