Forgotten Administrator password

hey i just fixed an old pc like 10 years old and i am not allowed to do anything intermes of downloades or in stalling on the pc without the administrator password and i my parrents can´t Remember it how can i change it or get it back? 

becurse when i try to change it it says that the file is not found on the hard drive so i can´t

If it's running XP, log out, hold down CTRL and ALT, and hit Delete twice, then type in Administrator in the username bar and no password. It should work unless it was changed.

Reinstall windows or get a password cracker

Works by cracking the stored hashes on your hard drive. PM me if you want any help with it

Ophcrack does not delete the password but instead tells you it

in case you need the same password for other things

Just burn it to a disc and boot it from your CD drive. IT works as a mini OS

Do you have another computer?

If not maybe visit a friend's house or public library?

I made a post not fully understanding that the OP had an older system. The post I made was about recovering lost admin rights in windows 8.1. So, needless to say, it was a useless post.
