I don't know if I am posting this in the correct part of the forums but anyways here it is.

So I have a Dell Dimension XPS Gen 5 system and have no idea what the hell to do with it. It is a big sexy system but I don't want to use it so I can keep it in good condition down the road. This system seems to be the one that catches everyone eyes when I have a friend or family member over so I might as well show it off. Or should I put it in long-term storage?

I have absolutely no idea what to do with it and having it sitting on the floor tucked away just seems to bug me haha.

Here is a pic of the system, it is a full tower case and has a type of "sandblast" finish to it.

I think that is what I will do, I guess I will throw it into long-term storage and call it a day ;)

Mod it and drop new parts and a sick system in it

You could mod a new build into it, or just keep the interesting front piece.

I would use it in a build if i was you.

If the system was in non working order I would be all over doing something like this, I will take a look at it later but if I did want to put a new motherboard and other parts in it I might have to do some psychical case mods (which I would like to stay away from). They are just to many things that would be required to mod it but I do have a friend who has the older Gen 2 blue model that he wants to sell so if I get some money I might buy that and mod it to death ;) Also these systems don't use ATX power supplys, the bottom section is the entire power supply but modding that would not be that hard.
