Just setting up my first pc and my motherboard (msi97s) doesn't come with wifi I know the fastest and cheapest way of Internet is wired but my computer is upstairs and my router is down stairs so I was wondering what the best way to get internet from there would be? I want to game on this and I don't want lag. Should I get one of those cheap usb wifi dongles if so could you guys recommend any?

If you're gonna go with wifi i'd get an actual card that uses PCI. Get a 500mbs card or higher depending on the speed of internet you have running through your wifi at home and you'll be set. You wont get quite the connection you would if you went wired but that;s just a sacrifice you'll have to make. And to be honest, i run one of my pc's on wifi just to limit some of the cables running around and i dont need it really, and its really not that huge of a difference in most cases.

I picked this up: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-n900-dual-band-wireless-n-usb-adapter-black/4962089.p?id=1218586474932&skuId=4962089and I still get a 15 ping. 50mb/s down and 10 up on wireless with that, and I'm on a different level from my router, and far away.
