Headset Mic not working

Hey everyone, I noticed that each time I plug my headset and try to use it as a Mic into the front panel, my computer does recognize it, but it doesn't work at all.  I've tried everything: checking if the mic is habilitated from the sound panel, updating drivers, updating windows, connect it into the back panel , etc and nothing has changed. The worst part is if I connect it into the headphone jack, it does work as headphones, so I don't know what's wrong for it working as a mic. I've used these in my laptop as a mic and haven't experienced any issues so far.
