My computer's wireless adapter randomly stops working.

I have a Linksys AC1200, it works fine for the most part but then it decides to just crap out on me at random times when I'm doing stuff. Every time it stops working the only way I can get it to work again is to restart my computer.

 

Can anyone help?

 

Any advice is much appreciated.

 

Edit: I did not realize that AC1200 was also a model of router. I have a usb wireless dongle that plugs into the back of my computer.

are you sure its the router that stops and not something with the net itself? tons of reasons why this can happen. any further info?

Whoops, I had no idea that AC1200 was also a router model. I'm  talking about a wireless network dongle that plugs into the back of my computer

 

I don't think it's a problem with the net as my computer is the only one that has this problem

You could take a look into the Event Viewer of your (I presume Windows) machine. Click here.

 

Just because your computer is the only one having the problem does not mean it is the cause. It can be, but it does not have to be.

Uninstall drivers and install new ones http://support.linksys.com/en-eu/support/adapters/WUSB6300

 

also try using the other USB port's
