Is the ASUS Republic of Gamers G751JT-CH71 17.3 a good laptop?

Looking for a nice 970m laptop, is this the one?

I bought one a couple months ago for a mobile WS... and it's great. That exact model I believe.. But yes, it's wonderful. Even battery was surprisingly good.

The projects never end in my line of work.

Do you think this is a good price? Also I'm in America http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1083621-REG/asus_g751jt_ch71_i7_4710hq_2_5g_12_750gb_windows8_1_17_3_black.html

That's about par for the course... they all are about the 1500 mark. But I added an SSD in mine, made a world of difference.

If you can deal with the bulk then sure why not, it's a hell of a laptop.

The Razer Blaze 2015 FHD is another option if you want something slimmer.

Working at work and at home close to 90 hours a week total does it.
