Programmable Full Size Mechanical Keyboard Recommendation

Hi Linus Forum,

Unrelated:

First time posting! I am in the process of upgrading both my home and work keyboards with mechanical keyboards and have some questions. I posted a few questions on \r\MechanicalKeyboards and didn't seem to have much people responding, maybe they are more about showing their colorful keycaps:)

My last two keyboards were the Steelseries Apex at work and Logitech G510s at home for gaming, I wasn't really into mechanical keyboards prior for the longest time, I knew the benefits but just never really cared for it. In fact my GF's Razer Blackwidow (which I actually bought for her as a present) actually annoys me a lot with those green switches:) Anyhow, time changes and now I've fully committed myself to the mechanical keyboard hype train. I believe it started with the announcement of the G910. I wanted to replace my G510s for something fancier, not necessarily for the mechanical keys but just as an overall upgrade, and then I have been focusing my attention on mechanical keyboards. Currently I have a K95 red at work and still have the G510s at home.

The Actual Questions:

1) For those with K95 or K70 switches, do you notice the longer keys, for instance the Enter, Shifts, and Space have a different feel than the other smaller keys? I assume it's because they are using single switch to accommodate the entire length of the keycap. They seem to be not as tight as the other keys and wobble and makes rattling noise when typed on. Is this a general issue for mechanical keyboards? Or just Corsair. I have read a lot about mechanical keyboards but this have never been brought to my attention.

2) I don't feel the K95 is great to type on. This has nothing to do with the keyboard and more of a personal preference. I'm not a big fan of the raised keys for mainly typing and working since even If I place the keyboard on the flat position it strains my hand after a long period of typing, I also make more typos on the red keys, like, a lot more typos. So I'm seeking a new keyboard and intend to bring the K95 back home for keyboard. What I want is a keyboard with macro keys or be fully programmable and silent (brown) key choices, best if professional looking as well. As for macro keys I was currently out of choice because I'm not a fan of all the choices I'm aware of: Logiteh G710/G910, Blackwidow, and K95. As for fully programmable keyboards, I haven't done my researches yet and that's why I'm here!

Thanks for any recommendations in advance!

For the K70, I find that if you don't press in the exact middle, it is hard to press. Examples are the Backspace and enter keys.

The spacebar, of course, is fine.

Sound: Custom one pros, Audioengine A5+ with S8 sub.

The Logitech G710 sounds like what you are looking for TBH.

And the travel is different on function keys (not FN keys but whatever they are called) because they use spacers and often multiple switches. You'd have been surprised by earlier mechanical Greens or Clears as, more often than not, lighter switches were used for things like spacebars.

EDIT: Other way around, if you had a keyboard with Blues, for example, Whites or Greens were often used in heavier keys like the spacebar.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
