lightweight laptop that could handle wow and diablo3 around 500?

killaDZA

Looking for something under 5 pounds. preferably closer to 3lbs. that can run wow and/or diablo 3. doesn't have to be ultra settings or anything. just smooth enough to not be annoying. I'm looking around the 500$ mark.

If you guys don't really think thats realistic scenario then any other opinions about good lightweight laptops/notebooks that won't run the games but just be good for school? (if they can't run the games then i would only want to pay like 300$) I have a pc at home for gaming and i have a mid 2010 macbook pro, but it can just barely run the games and its too heavy for me to carry around all day between work and school. So the whole point is to be really light, be able to web browse, do schoolwork and hopefully play some diablo/wow when i have time. thanks guys

You wont be able to do much with that price. I doubt you would even be able to get a GPU for that price.

i don't need a dedicated gpu. i can run wow and diablo3 on a mid 2010 macbook pro....not well, but the point is that i don't want a gaming laptop, i want a school laptop that could run the games once in awhile.

My suggestion is probably dumb because it isn't lighter, but maybe buy a more comfortable bag, more RAM, and an SSD for your Macbook.

Heyyo,

AMD APU notebooks are actually really darn good for cost-effective entry-level notebooks. :)

[uPDATE1]

LE GASP! Newegg.com has a REALLY good notebook on sale for $190.00 USD off that fits perfectly into your $500 budget! Check it here:

Lenovo Z50 (80EC000TUS) Notebook AMD A-Series A10-7300 (1.90GHz) 8GB Memory 1TB HDD AMD Radeon R6 Series 15.6" Windows 8.1

That... is a STEAL of a deal mang. I'd benchmark that against any other setup right meow for the same price.. you probably won't find it. ;)

You can even find a bunch of YouTube videos of guys rockin' it with this APU (some even that Lenovo Z50 too) on many games and giving off solid performance.

Here's the one I got before for my mom. Yeh she doesn't game but if for some reason I'm visiting her sans-notebook I could always borrow hers and use my Steam account hehe. :P

Lenovo Edge E545 with AMD's a6-5350M APU

Proof of how damn good AMD APUs are on the low end? Here's a guy playing Battlefield 4 smoothly WHILST recording his gameplay footage:

THIS... notebooks, is where AMD APUs truly shine. With lower resolutions screens than the average Desktop PC? They show how efficient their chips are. It will play Diablo III without a hiccup. ;)

If that notebook isn't
