It's been 3 years since I built my first computer and I figure its time to start looking at upgrades.

The heart of my current pc is

AMD FX-4130 Zambezi Quad-Core 3.8GHz Socket AM3+ FD4130FRGUBOX Desktop Processor

ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 AM3+ AMD RX881/760G SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

EVGA GTX 660-ti

Now I don't need to upgrade at this moment so my goal is to wait for things to go on sale.

I've been looking at the "hot deals" area on this form for the past month but I don't know what I'm looking for.

What I want most is

-new motherboard and processor (with easy upgrade ability)

-a nice cooler so I can over clock

-a new case ( I really like NZXT's s340 and Define's R5)

My question to you all is what kind of motherboard, processor, and cooler combo would be good for me?( around a $500 budget but willing to pay more if it's worth it)

I don't care if it's AMD or Intel, also if it happens to look good then that's just a bonus.

Also do those cases ever go on sale?

Thank you :)

Oh also I would like to be able to stream games( mainly stream dota but I play games like Battlefield and bioshock)

I think I posted this in the wrong area. I'm new here. Is there anyway to delete it or move it?

If your preference is water cooling then the H100i. For air, has to be the Hyper 212 Evo... CPUwise, get a Haswell Based i5. If you want to overclock, then get a haswell based K series i5 or i7 with a z97 motherboard (example i7-4770k or i5-4690k). if you don't wanna overclock, then get a non k i5 or i7. Also use stock cooler if you are not doing an extreme OC

Eh, you're planning on upgrading soon and asking for help so I'd say you're fine.

For $500 you could easily get everything you want (Mobo/processor and case) on either side but it's really personal preference. An advantage of going AMD would be you won't need a new motherboard since you can get a newer processor that's on the same socket.

Your motherboard already has some pretty good headroom for upgrades though, Your cheapest option would be to swap the FX4130 for the FX 8320 and upgrade the GPU. GTX 680s are sensibly priced these days, a 750Ti could also work well for you for a couple more years.
