I like shadowplay. Then again I have never used AMD Record

I've heard from some people that Shadowplay can be a bit of an arseache at times, and my brother's streamed using AMD's DVR and it did a good enough job. He streamed SWTOR, on ultra, at 720p 60fps and it was buttery smooth.

 

But alas, people have varying experiences.

Both suck. Use OBS.

obs has a bit of a performance hit does it not? also what about the file sizes?

AMD I hope is not using the variable FPS capture method no more...

It used to be... and caused editing issues, so I stopped using it and bought a capture card instead.

They did say they plan on using a constant FPS capture method,.. have not been interested to check since...

They do the same thing essentially. So it's really not about which one is better. I would focus more on which brand of hardware you like better first.
