Hey guys, was wondering if this build would suit my needs.

I'll be doing some minor gaming and content creation. Not like AAA titles or AC:Unity, but like CS:GO, LOL, and Dota2.

It will also be for work and school projects and such.

So heres the build.

That build would work perfectly, the 970 handles 1080p like a champ and the CPU won't be causing any bottlenecks. If you're not overclocking your CPU you may want to think about switching to an air cooler.

CPU: i7 5820K @ 4.00GHz Mobo: ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3RAM: Corsair LPX 64GB Quad-Channel DDR4 @ 2400MHzGPU: GTX 970 x2 SLI | Storage: 250 GB AMD SSD x 4 Raid 0

swap the 970 for a 960, you dont need that much horsepower - unless you dont need to save the money.
Swap the H100i for a Evo 212, again, you don't need the horsepower, and the 212 is a very good cooler.
With the money you saved on the cooler get a i7.

No...

Going from a 970 to a 960 and an i5 to an i7 for gaming is just plain terrible advice.

Explain?

i7 for content creation - assuming videos

960 runs any non AAA game on 1080 60fps constant, so why does he need more?

-even some AAA games actually, I think you underestimate this card

I suppose if he's never going to play AAA games.

The 960 isn't good value regardless though.

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone,

and I might get into some AAA titles later. (super stoked for battlefront 3)

I thought I might mention this is my first build, so all the comment were taken into consideration.

Thanks for the help!

^_^

PS: I'm going with the 970 because of it 4... 3.5 gigabytes
